The Dwelling House at Fowey

Bed & Breakfast and Tearooms

Fowey (pronounced Foy to rhyme with Joy!) is on the south-east coast of Cornwall between Looe and Mevagissey.  The Medieval, Tudor and Georgian buildings, the narrow steep winding streets with glimpses of the shimmering river below busy with boats and the quays bustling with life, all help to enchant the holiday maker.

Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fowey has something for everyone. A natural deep-water harbour, it is a haven for yachtsmen and its location on the South-West Coast Path and other shorter walks attracts both serious hikers and those who like a gentle stroll.

Fowey is not only an historic town whose famous residents have included Daphne du Maurier and Sir Arthur Quiller Couch, but it has more recently attracted visitors in search of gifts from its art galleries and craft shops and gourmet meals from its many restaurants.
